Easter, Spring, Summer and Summer Weekends – last entry to activities is 5pm. Teepee encampment closes at 5pm. Tangle Tree Climb closes at 5:15pm. Woodsands Cove closes at 5:30pm. Spiders Lair closes at 5:45pm. The rest of the park closes at 6pm.

February Fun and Winter Weekends – last entry to the Enchanted Forest is 4pm.  Adventure playgrounds close in rotation shortly thereafter.  Last entry to the Maze and Ice Rink is 4:30pm. The ice rink closes at 5pm.

Halloween Adventure – last entry to activities, the Forest and Adventure Playgrounds is 4:30pm and the park closes at 5:30pm.

Christmas Adventure – last entry to activities, the Forest and Adventure Playgrounds is 8.00pm. Teepee encampment closes at 8pm. Tangle Tree Climb closes at 8:15pm. Woodsands Cove closes at dusk. Spiders Lair closes at 8:45pm. Last entry to the Maze is 8:30pm. The park closes at 9.00pm.

On Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve last entry to all is 6:00pm and the park closes at 7pm.

We have a limited supply of penguin and snowman skate aids, which are available on a first-come first served basis. There is a small fee to hire the skate aids for a set period of time.

Penguin users must be smaller than 1.2m with skates on. Guests will be measured before a penguin is given out. Snowmen can be used for anyone taller than 1.2m.

These are to be used correctly with the user stood behind the penguin/snowman and not on the feet at the front.

Unfortunately skate aids cannot be booked in advance.

Skate hire is included within your activity price.

You can bring your own skates – figure skates and hockey skates are allowed. You will still require a relevant activity ticket. The management reserve the right not to allow skates deemed to be unsafe.

Ski Boot sizes

We provide ski boots for use with our skis. Sizes range from child size 10 to adult size 13.

Skate boot sizes

We offer skates from child size 7 up to adult size 14.

Although we don’t recommend skating for anyone under the age of 6, for very little feet (child size 6 – 9) we have a limited number of double bladed ‘Bob’ skates that fit over your child’s own shoes (please be aware that their shoes may get wet).

Park Supervision

All minors must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, even in and around the activities. This is not only for the safe-keeping of the park, but also in case of a medical emergency – we are unable to treat anyone under 16 without parental consent. Please refer to section 5 of our terms and conditions for more details.

Ski supervision guidelines:

All minors must be accompanied at Stockeld Park by a responsible adult. We advise that children under 6 years of age should not ski.

All children under the age of 8 must be accompanied on the ski track by an adult (18 or over).

All children between 8 and 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult in skis on the ski track or walking along the parallel forest trail.

Skate supervision guidelines:

We recommend a minimum age of 4 and over for skating, although we advise parents to use their discretion on whether very young children will enjoy the experience.

All children aged 8 and under must be accompanied onto the ice by a responsible adult (18+) in skates.

All children aged 8 to 17 must be accompanied in the skating area by a responsible adult (the adult can supervise from the side of the rink).

Yes. We are an outdoor attraction, so our activities are out in the fresh Yorkshire air!

Easter, Spring, Summer and Weekends – Yes! You are welcome to bring picnics. We have an outdoor seating area on the main field and also limited seating in Woodsands Cove in the Enchanted Forest. We also have a new indoor seating area in the Atrium, where you can eat picnics or food purchased onsite.  Please note the Atrium is not always open or available for picnics.

BBQ’s are not allowed at the park.

During the Halloween and Christmas Adventure we don’t have facilities for picnics, however we do have various food outlets and our restaurant that serves food throughout the day, subject to availability.

Please note we only allow guests to bring picnics for their own family members.  Due to Natasha’s Law, we are unable to allow you to bring picnics for non-family members.

For health and safety reasons we recommend wearing long sleeves and clothing that covers the knees, socks and closed-toe shoes are recommended for our outdoor Adventures. Please remember that in the winter it can be muddy and wet.

In the Playhive we recommend the same attire but with thick socks or Stockeld Park playshoes, which can be purchased upon booking or arrival. Bare feet are not allowed in the Playhive.

Stockeld Park is a family attraction and we ask that all visitors dress appropriately. The wearing of clothing which, in the opinion of Management, is inappropriate is not permitted. Shoes and tops must be worn at all times. Some Adventure Zones require flat closed-toe shoes.

Yes, we have card machines at all till points. We are now operating as a cashless site.

Most of our activities are open to all ages. However we do have restrictions on the below;

• Roller skating – While we do not have an age restriction for the roller skating, our smallest boot size is child’s size 8.
• Dragon Swing – we recommend ages 4 and over.
• Bucaneer Boats – suitable for heights of 102cm and over.  102cm – 112cm must be accompanied on the boat by a responsible adult, 112cm and above are able to ride solo.
• Ice Skating – We advise that children less than 4 years of age should not skate. All children under the age of 8 should be accompanied on the rink by an adult. Adults supervising children from 8 to 16 year olds may watch from the side of the rink with a supervisor ticket.
• Nordic Skiing – We recommend it for anyone aged 6 and up (although it can be quite tiring for little legs!). All children under the age of 8 should be accompanied on the ski track by an adult (18 or over). All children aged 8 to 16 years should be accompanied by a responsible adult on the ski track or walking along the parallel trail.
• Nordic skiing, ice skating and roller skating is NOT suitable for pregnant women, anyone with a heart condition or anyone still recovering from an injury.

No, you do not need to print off your pre purchased tickets. You can show the tickets on your phone or tablet at the ticket office.

We allow one free carer aged 18 or over for every paying disabled person upon provision of a Max card, carer’s pass, written confirmation from your local council stating that you are a carer for that person or proof of DLA or PIP.

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on site for hygiene reasons. Assistance dogs are welcome.

The Equality Act lays out that in relation to protecting the rights of a disabled people when accessing private hire transport, an Assistance dog means:
(a) a dog which has been trained to guide a blind person;
(b) a dog which has been trained to assist a deaf person;
(c) a dog which has been trained by a prescribed charity to assist a disabled person who has a disability that consists of epilepsy or otherwise affects the person’s mobility, manual dexterity, physical coordination or ability to lift, carry or otherwise move everyday objects;
(d) a dog of a prescribed category which has been trained to assist a disabled person who has a disability (other than one falling within paragraph (c)) of a prescribed kind.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission states that assistance dogs:

• are highly trained
• will not wander freely around the premises
• will sit or lie quietly on the floor next to its owner and are trained to go to the toilet on command and so are unlikely to foul in a public place
• Most are instantly recognisable by the harness or identifying dog jacket they wear they wear.

It is not a legal requirement for Assistance Dog users to provide ID but all ADUK members issue the people and dog partnerships they work with ID booklets.

Yes we have toilets and baby change facilities in our main building. We also have toilets and baby change facilities in the Enchanted Forest at Gretel’s Cabin. In winter, there will also be toilets available near the Grotto
